Priscilla Zapata
Pricilla Zapata has been a wonderful addition to the staff at The Defense Group. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Florida. She earned both her Masters in Education and her Juris Doctor (law degree) while studying in Puerto Rico. She is actually licensed to practice law in Puerto Rico but chose instead to reside in Florida as a better place to raise her children. Mrs. Zapata worked as an attorney (abogado) with the Puerto Puerto Supreme Court for years before moving to Florida. She is eligible to practice Immigration, Bankruptcy or other cases in Federal Court. She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and assists those clients that prefer to speak in Spanish when they communicate with attorneys in the firm that may not speak Spanish. Few firms are fortunate enough to find a Legal Assistant with these stellar credentials. In her sixth year with the firm, Mrs. Zapata is one of the two primary Legal Assistants handling cases filed in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Volusia. She also acts as a liaison with the staff in our Lake County office. Our phone systems have now been utilized along with our central “cloud” case management system. She works with several different attorneys in the firm.
Mrs. Zapata and her husband William are also the proud parents of three sons who are actively engaged in athletics. They are active in their church and community.
